Japanese Sencha Fukujyu Green Tea
Japanese Sencha Fukujyu Green Tea
Our Japanese Sencha Fukujyu Green Tea is a natural leaf tea, meaning that the leaves are left un-rolled. Unlike other Japanese green teas, Sencha is grown in full sunlight, and accounts for the largest portion of Japan's tea production. Once picked, the leaves are steamed, which seals in the flavour and stops fermentation. This is the key difference between Chinese and Japanese green tea-making processes, the Chinese bake the tea in large pans. The leaves are then fluffed with hot air before pressing. The moisture content for Sencha is only 3%.
Please note that this tea is quite fine in places and this is purely natural.
Brewing time: Use freshly drawn water at 75 ~ 80C for 1.5 to 2 minutes.
